Current Monitor Model Name: LG 34WQ73A-B Issue: I want to connect two MacBooks to the same monitor and share the keyboard by attaching it via the USB 3.0 port on the monitor. Everything works as expected over USB-C connected to the first MacBook but the other one is connected over DP and it does not seem to recognize the keyboard. 1) Insert random usb 3.0 flash drive in monitors usb 3.0 port. 2) Connect monitor with usb 3.0 (to pc) to usb type C (to monitor) 3) OnScreen Control will now recognize connected monitor and allow upgrade. I don't know why it wont work without flash drive (windows 10 driver issues?), but inserting that flash drive did it for me. Good luck. Make sure that all 3 cables from your monitor are plugged in. There is the power cable, the HDMI/Display Port, and the last one. The last one (idk the name of it) controls the USB ports. Mine was slightly unplugged from my PC.
